Paul's been mighty sneaky recently. This is not his calling. Really. He's a lousy liar.
I hopped on down to his office Friday night [his office is in our basement] where he was on the phone. He stopped his conversation [even covering the mouthpiece!] and asked what I wanted and basically told me I had to leave. I couldn't listen to his conversation. This is not the norm. In fact, I can honestly say that's never happened in all our 18yrs of marriage. I was a bit thrown from the horse by his response, but I complied - being the good wife that I am! ::smirk::

I had gone down to get the low-down on where we were going to go for dinner. I had Basa fish on the menu, but no Basa fish in the house! [he fell right into my trap!] So he came upstairs from his office - a bit frustrated - saying that he'd like to go to pick up a package at DHL. Why do we have to go pick it up? Why can't you wait until Monday to receive this package? - "Oh, it's such-and-such a part for Such-and-such company and if I get it now, then I won't have to get it on Monday. So I'll be able to take it right to the customer site and blah, blah, blah, blah....then we'll go get something to eat." [I heard that last part!]
On the way he told me how the "Dell Guy" took down his address incorrectly - even after Paul spelled it out for him. He acted so aggitated by this inconvenience of having to go out to pick it up. He also told me the behind-the-story story of Irene Sendler. That'll be in another post. This story is way beyond amazing [!].
Okay, so we get to DHL. 5 mins later he's bringing the box to the front seat. Why doesn't he just throw it in the way back with Therese? He tells me to open it as he's fumbling with his phone - as if to be making a call. [As I was opening it I looked at our address and how the street name truly was spelled WAY wrong!] He wanted to make sure it was the right part. Oh....it was the right part alright!
He got a Nikon D60 Camera for me! I was excited - though he probably didn't think I was. I was happy enough with the other camera and would never justify upgrading. With me, it's always later.
To be honest I was way more impressed that he pulled this off and got me! Well, look who he's got as an example :o)
So here are some cool shots - I think - with our new toy! Let me just say that this thing is SWEET! And I'm SO GLAD HE GOT IT!
I love you, Honey!
You know what this means, don't you? No. Not that I'll be posting more pictures. What it means is - I'll never be able to trust Paul again!

What a nice present! The pictures look GREAT! Of course, hard to go wrong with those subjects!
Wow, what a great gift! I really "need" a better camera. Not happening though :( Your kids are beautiful!
(sticking out my lower lip)
It's not FAIR! I neeeeeeeeeeeeed a new camera! I wouldn't even mind a sneaky husband if he would get me one of them things!
...I mean, congratulations! Those are great pictures!
Ah the joy of a new camera. Congrats. Get out there and take some more pictures!
so please tell me how you're getting such great photos indoors with the D60?? Inquiring minds want to know. I always end up with an orange cast unless I use the flash. We have pratically zero natural light in this house, so that's what I blame it on!
The photos are great, your kids are beautiful.
Paula - i guess that's what I'd blame it on too. We have loads of windows/light.
FUN!!! Good for you! What a romantic he is! Snap away, sister! :)
BTW, your pictures look great.
The photos are high quality and your kids are beautiful!
