Atlanta Blizzard of Twenty Ten

Well, for once they were right! They predicted 2-4 inches of snow, and would you believe it - we did get at least 4 in.! What a beautiful sight! And the kids (young and old alike) played and played and played!

What you are about to see has not happened in Atlanta in years and years and years.  Seriously.
It was so funny - when we pulled into the driveway from playing at the rec center, Therese was telling me she didn't know how to make a snowman.  She asked me to show her.  That struck me as funny because it seems as though that's just something kids instinctively know how to do.  But if you don't grow up in snow, I suppose that's not true.  So I hopped out of the truck and started rolling a snowball all over the front yard, leaving a path behind it - and boy, it was the best packing snow ever!  Everyone soon got the idea and pretty soon everyone was making a body part...

...hence the reason for the 4 piece snowman
Charlie is plotting his destruction here

"Hmmm...I just don't think that's good."

Well, we are in Atlanta!

We don't get much snow here in Albuquerque either. It's always a big treat for the kiddos. I love the snowman baby. Too cute.
